- On the chart below is a summary of compliance orders issued by Apprenticeship and Industry Training officers over the last year to date, as well as the total per year:
Types of Compliance Orders:
- Supervision Infraction- failing to provide supervision and/or training to an apprentice.
- Ratio Infraction- employing a greater number of apprentices than permitted by the applicable trade regulation
- Wage Rate Infraction - paying wages to an apprentice at a rate less than is permitted by the applicable trade regulation.
- Unqualified Individual- employing an individual to work in a trade when, under the Act, that individual is not permitted to work or working in a trade without the necessary qualifications.
- Denial of Access – denied an AIT officer access to the premises of an employer or a worksite at any reasonable time to carry out an inspection of the premises, work site and records that are relevant to an inspection.
